The CSCS scheme is to ensure the highest standard of works is carried out by  competent and skilled labour, ensuring that standards of workmanship are maintained and awareness of  health  and safety requirements is raised.

Many influential bodies are working towards a policy  of a fully  qualified  workforce by  2010, when it will be compulsory to prove workers skills & qualifications before they can work on site.

Lift & Engineering Services are taking the  relevant steps forward to ensure the competencies of their workforce and are already being asked by  contractors to ensure  that workers on site hold a CSCS card.
