We are competent and able to operate as the Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, Designer or Contractor under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and do so on all lift refurbishment, replacement and new installation projects.
Many Customers recognise the implications of the 2015 Regulations on service, call out and repair contracts and require us to adopt the role of Principal Contractor for those types of work as well.
When acting as Principal Designer we assist the Customer to meet their duty to provide Pre-Construction Information such as structural surveys and asbestos surveys. Many Customers are unaware of the statutory requirement for them to provide an Asbestos Refurbishment & Demolition Survey when having a lift replaced. We also collate record documentation of the lift works for inclusion in the Customer’s H&S File required by the CDM2015 Regulations.
When acting as Principal Contractor we undertake all of the duties assigned to this role including production and management of the Construction Phase Plan and contribution of record documentation for the H&S File.
When we are installing new or replacement lifts in Domestic Customer’s premises we take on the various roles assigned to the Contractor on behalf of the Domestic Customer.
